Starting Over On Monday Syndrome

How to lose weight. You do so by not starting over on Monday.

This was the story of my life forever. Whenever I tried to lose weight by dieting I would always fail because I would let little things get me off track. I would give up and start over on Monday. I didn’t have the motivation to lose weight.

Today I have changed my life and I did it in part by listening to some of the great motivational speakers out there and listening to some great motivational speeches from inspirational people. As well as watching seminars and reading books from the likes of Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Brain Tracy, Prince Ea, Tyrese Gibson, Elliott Hulse, Brandon Carter, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Eckhart Tolle, Oprah, Les Brown and Eric Thomas aka ET The Hip Hop Preacher just to name a few.

Changing my thinking helped me to change my life. Now I no longer start over on Monday. Watch my video below for the whole story!

Nutrition Labels And Weight Loss. You Are Being Deceived!

Nutrition labels lie to you and prevent you from losing weight!

At some point in your life I’m sure that you have switched to eating “regular” food to eating low fat, diet, zero calorie foods. You did this because you wanted to lose weight and you believe that less calories means weight loss. That is actually not true! The food industry knows that the public believes this, so they supply the demand.

Now, if the low calorie food tastes like crap they would not be able to sell it and they are in the business of selling food so they found a few solutions to their problems. First, they add lots of sugar to the food. This makes it taste better and it makes it addictive too.

But then people started getting wise to the sugar ploy so they started changing it’s name on the food labels. To date I have found 85 different alias for sugar on my food labels.

And then the latest trick I discovered, is that they put no added sugar and unsweetened on the labels, put 0 grams of sugar on the nutrition label, making you think you are safe. But if you read the ingredient list sugar is on the label! Sometimes more than once!

They are lying to us in order to keep us addicted to their food! They are telling us they want to help us lose weight, while actually actively preventing it! It’s disgusting! And it needs to be stopped.

Unfortunately this is quite the undertaking, so the best thing you can do for now it learn the different alias’ of sugar and to read the ingredient list on anything you think is good for you to find out the truth.

But the ultimate best thing you can do, is to eat processed foods as little as possible.

The Sad Truth Exposed on Catfish the TV Show

It’s a sad reality that today people feel so badly about themselves that they hide away and live their lives as someone else on the internet. And they go online and Catfish others. Instead of learning to love themselves and accept themselves as they are and working on changing their lives to be happier they prefer to just pretend to be someone else. They believe that this is the only way they can get love. This is so sad and simply not true.

You need to love yourself first! When you truly love yourself you will transform your whole life! When I watch MTV’S Catfish I am always blown away by the pain, sadness and loneliness that everyone on that show seems to be living in. It’s no secret that being plus sized in a society where anything above a size 6 is considered fat is no picnic but you’ve got to rise above that! This is the life you have. It’s not a trial run, you get one shot at it so go out there and really live it! Don’t go online and catfish people. Be yourself, love yourself and live your life!

Wentworth Miller Fat Shaming. Enough Is Enough!

Wentworth Miller fat shaming – again.

Today Wentworth Miller became an Internet meme due to an old photo from 2010 in which he had gained weight after his days as Michael Scofield on Fox’s Prison Break were over. His response to this most recent attack on his person was both beautiful and sad as he talks about the painful time in his past and how he overcame it.

Wentworth Miller is a class act, handling the situation with such grace you want to applaud him. He also uses the situation to urge people who are struggling with depression to get help. I myself had lived with depression for many years and also sought solace in food. It got so bad that I weighed nearly 400 pounds. I got help and learned to love myself and turned my life around. Although this attack is senseless and cruel I love how Wentworth Miller handled it and hopefully he inspires people suffering in silence to get help.

Shame on you body shamers of the world. And Wentworth Miller, thank you for speaking up for those who need it the most.

One of the Most Important Things You Need to do to Lose Weight!

Michelle Sigouin Weight Loss JourneyOf all the changes that I have made in my life, the one that people are interested in the most, is my weight loss. Maybe because it’s the most visible (to the eye), change I’ve made in my life. Maybe because everybody wants to lose weight. I don’t know, all I know is that everyone wants to know the secret to my success.

They want to know what I eat, which diet I follow, how many calories I eat.They want to know if I go to the gym, what exercise program I follow etc… And they are dumb founded when I point to my head and say “The most important thing I did was I changed what’s going on up here” and that’s why I’ve been able to lose weight but most importantly it’s why I’ve kept it off!

You see, excess weight is not the problem, it is the symptom of the problem. Let me put it this way – you eat too much bad food and you don’t exercise. So most people think, ok, to solve this, I need to eat less, eat better and move more. Problem solved.

Not really. That’s really a band-aid solution, because you are not going to the root of the issue. The real problem isn’t that you eat too much, it’s why you eat too much. The problem is what’s going on in your mind. It’s the beliefs that you hold, it’s the thoughts that you have, in short, it’s the conditioning of your mind.

You have behaved in this way for so long, that it is now your normal operating procedure and if you want to change the results you are getting in your life, you need to change the ingrained behaviors you have. You don’t do this by depriving yourself of food for a short while of time, you reprogram your mind to think a certain way and then you will act in a certain way and then your results and your life will change.

Work on yourself and you will change your entire life. Once you tackle your mind and start to reprogram your long held limiting beliefs you will no longer continue the same behaviors that led to you gaining weight. Then you can explore new healthy avenues to lose weight and you will see amazing changes in yourself. And not only will you start to lose weight, but you will keep it off. No more yo-yo dieting and starving yourself, you will lose the weight and keep it off forever!
